It’s half past midnight, I finally got back from a night out... YAY! My girl finally managed to get out… This is the first time where we actually spent the night out late…

Anyway, I picked her up after driving for almost 2 hours because of the jam the heavy rain had caused and we met up with Wern Jin and Richard and their respective girlfriends for dinner at Mid Valley.

Then we went to Ming Tien at Sunway and ate some more!

We were actually going to play pool, but all the ladies didn’t like the idea, so we just sat around and chatted a lot. Wern Jin’s girl apparently went for National Service, and when I asked her about it, she said it was very interesting; interesting in the most sarcastic manner possible. Apparently for character development, they were made to play games normally played by kindergarten children, and mutiny ensured. Najib and his bright ideas, way to go!

It was a good night none the less.

Sigh….

Yesterday, after building racks for the storeroom at home, I managed to get my fish tank back to shape. (Yay!) I buffed away all the calcified crusts that were forming and repainted the lamp and the rack... Looks better then it ever did... I also redecorated the interior of the tank and I’m kind of proud of it. I finally built a big tunnel in it so that the large Black Ghost I have in it has a comfy place to hide.

Also, I had a hair cut, the usual, which was long overdue as my hair had grown into a mop…

Then came some frustration… Sigh… What is it with over protective parents? My Girl’s parents are still treating her like a kid, even though she’s already 20. It’s so frustrating to not be able to do stuff sometimes.

Anyway, I decided to spend last night at Mid-Valley, working on getting a new PC, then I found out that Richard, an old school mate who was with me when in was in NZ was working at the CD shop there.

SO we went out to yam char after he got off work. Not a bad way to end the day I guess.

Today, I made lunch and figured out a way to make a good mac ‘n cheese without it tasting like crap. Yay! Also, I watch the July 11th edition of Top Gear which I downloaded last nigh. Jeremy Clarkson is just hilarious.

Anyway, I’m exhausted now, spent the evening literary digging up the garden, shovel and all. We are going to fix up the garden next and tomorrow morning we are going off early to pick up new plants.

For those of you who are wondering, I’m more or less recovered from my accident. The lacerations have more or less faded and my leg no longer aches…

Nite all.

Oh No!

I went back to CyberJaya on Monday night after being away for a week. I powered on the PC, queued up a few downloads on bit torrent and started to play Simpson’s Hit and Run. Suddenly the PC hanged. I rebooted …

Beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeppppppppppppppp…. OH NO!!!! My PC made a croaking sound and died.

Yep, my PC is now officially dead. According to the diagnostic LED display, the motherboard outright failed to initialise… Sigh… Well I guess now I’m forced to buy that new PC I’ve been putting off for a year already. It’s been a good machine I guess, it’s served me well since 2001.

Anyway, the good news is that we’ve finally sorted out the problem with the internet at home that’s been plaguing us since day 1. Apparently the moronic contractor that put in the caballing did a sloppy job and the added line resistance has been screwing with the dial up and DSL signals. So now it’s fixed and I can finally enjoy broadband over our Wifi AP at home.

So to anyone out there that has been having frequent problems with your net connection and Telekom has never been able to fix it, have an electrician come in and check all your lines. Remember, you must solder all the connections, as simply twisting and taping it will degrade DSL signal quality.

Urg… Sorry about the lack of updates. I’v been very busy lately, the renovations going on at home are in it’s final stages, the paint job is done, the new doors are in and the new furniture is just... beautiful.. Just the final touches still need to be done. You know what they say about perfection. You spend 50% more effort for 10% more quality.

Also, my aunt, uncle and 2 cousins from East Malaysia arrived Thursday night, and I’ve been going around with them. Friday afternoon I went with them to Ikano Power Centre, where they went nuts in Ikea and then crazy over the 94.5% fat free Gelato in Ikano.

Then today I played the role of driver and guide and took then around mid my shopaholic cousin went absolutely bananas and we spent about 10 hours there, shopping, eating, then eating then shopping some more. I also bought a new cordless phone set for the house, 10 DVD-Rs (real cheap) and helped my cousin buy a new PC.

Tomorrow we will be going to Seramban to pay respects to my departed grand parent and to eat.. urge… have to wake up early….

In other news, my bike is back from the shop. They did a pretty good job, and it looks better then the day I got it. I haven’t given it a ride yet, I might in the morning before we go to Negeri… So Cel, looks like you’re going to get that ride… hehe

Also, we finally got a new guy to take the room in CyberJaya… YAY!!! Thank God!!

Anyway, I’ll write more later, I got to log into the bank website and pay my landlord.
